India's historic ICC Women's World Cup title win; BCCI announces prize money

India clinched their first-ever Women’s World Cup title with a 52-run victory over South Africa at a packed Dr DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on Sunday. Shafali Verma and Deepti Sharma shone as India finally lifted their long-awaited ICC trophy.

The BCCI on Monday announced a ₹51 crore prize for the Indian women’s cricket team and support staff after their historic ODI World Cup win over South Africa. BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia said the reward recognises their monumental achievement and first-ever World Cup triumph.
