NCB probe in drug-link angle in Sushant case intensifies; exclusive details of raid at Sanjjanaa's house

Sources in the NCB told India Today TV on Thursday that after Sarah Ali Khan, one more actress is on the radar of the narcotic probe agency. Moreover, India Today has accessed bank transaction of Pawna farmhouse party expenditure. It is alleged that actor Sushant Singh Rajput had organised a party at his farmhouse where drugs were consumed.

Kannada actress Sanjjanaa Galrani has been sent to judicial custody in connection with the Sandalwood drug racket case. During raids at her house on Thursday, the Karnataka Police recovered several mobile phones, a harddisk a laptop and a powerbank. Police also said that the actress did not use a SIM card in some mobile phones.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday hugged and honoured 98-year-old Makhanlal Sarkar, one of the earliest and senior most members of the BJP. The scene unfolded on the stage ahead of Suvendu Adhikari's swearing-in as West Bengal's Chief Minister in Kolkata. PM Modi also touched Sarkar's feet and presented a shawl to him as a mark of respect. In 1952, Sarkar was arrested in Kashmir while he was accompanying Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee as the latter was marching to hoist the tricolour there. BJP IT cell head Amit Malviya described the elderly party leader as "one of the earliest grassroots figures associated with the nationalist movement in post-Independence India."
