Siddaramaiah speaks on shoe attack on CJI; Congress slams DMK over coldrif cough syrup

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah linked the October 6 shoe attack on Chief Justice of India BR Gavai to the influence of “Sanatanis and Manuvadis.” The attack, carried out by lawyer Rakesh Kishore in the Supreme Court, stemmed from Kishore’s anger over the CJI’s earlier remarks about a Lord Vishnu idol. Siddaramaiah condemned the incident, calling it rooted in a casteist ‘Manuvadi mindset’ targeting CJI Gavai, who belongs to the Dalit community, a view echoed by other opposition leaders.
