Independent inquiry only way to ease concerns about Pegasus spyware: Shashi Tharoor

A number of Indian citizens, including political leaders and journalists, were allegedly potential targets for Pegasus, a spyware developed by the Israeli firm NSO, according to news reports from a variety of media outlets.
While the Ministry of Electronics and Information and Technology denied reports of journalist surveillance, opposition leaders demanded an investigation into the matter.
