Crucial talks between External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi is taking place in Moscow today. This is seen as the last-minute efforts to avoid the India-China conflict along the Line of Control (LAC) in Ladakh.

Tensions between India and China, that have been simmering ever since the Galwan Valley clashes took place in eastern Ladakh, escalated after fresh face-offs between Indian and Chinese troops happened in Mukhpari area of Rezang-La ridgeline on Monday evening.
