India debunks Red Army build-up at LAC: Time to junk One China stand?

The Donald Trump administration has retained Pakistan's name in its list of nations which provide "safe havens" to terrorists and blamed Pak-based terror outfits like LeT and JeM for conducting attacks against India.

The US Department of State has said that terror groups like the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) continue to operate, train, organise and fundraise inside Pakistan.

India has denied the Chinese claims that the latter has moved "tens of thousands of tonnes" of military vehicles and equipment to Tibet in the recent weeks.

Agencies monitoring the situation said that no unusual movement has been made by the Chinese at the Line of Actual Control (LAC) for the last couple of months. They say China is only issuing war threats through its media only to pressure India.

Also on the show, the Indian Army is considering to deploy woman officers in combat roles especially in counter insurgency operations in Jammu and Kashmir and in the North East where women have been used as shield by the militants to disrupt counter terror operations.

The Army has been asked to look at areas where woman officers can be deployed and Integrated HQ Of MOD specifically talks about deploying women in Counter Insurgency operations. Instead of depending on Mahila Police Battalions in CI ops for crowd control, the Army is now considering to have its own woman troops.
