Harbhajan Singh praised India skipper Virat Kohli for his maiden Test hundred on English soil in the first Test against England at Edgbaston. Kohli blasted 149 for his 22nd Test hundred.
Kohli took a little over five hours to score more runs in one innings than he had done in the entire five-Test series of 2014 in England. In a batting master-class, Kohli smashed 149, 15 more than the 134 he had managed in 10 innings during a disastrous tour of England in 2014.
It would be fair to say Virat Kohli was under pressure. He had evolved as a batsman since England 2014. After disappointing with the bat during a 1-3 defeat for India, Kohli scored 15 hundreds (four of those came in Australia) including six double hundreds. He also became the first batsman to score double hundreds in four successive series.
