Mamata's dining rooms diktat: Is the move discriminating or inclusive?

A recent directive by the Mamata Banerjee government in West Bengal has sparked a fresh political row with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) citing it as another instance of Muslim appeasement.

The Trinamool Congress (TMC)-led government has decided to construct dining rooms in every state-run school which has more than 70 per cent of Muslim students.

TVK leader C Joseph Vijay on Sunday took oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu amid a sea of supporters, his friends and family, and several political leaders. Eight other TVK leaders were sworn in besides him, as ministers in the new government. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also attended the ceremony.
