Sonia Gandhi gives nod to alliance with Sena: Maharashtra deal finally sealed?

Maharashtra's wait for a government continues in spite of frantic talks involving all four probable stakeholders of power - the Shiv Sena, the NCP, the Congress and the BJP. Meanwhile, hours after NCP chief Sharad Pawar met Prime Minister Narendra Modi today in New Delhi, there came report that Sonia Gandhi had given in-principle approval to an alliance with Shiv Sena to form a government in Maharashtra.
