Asian Games 2023, India schedule for September 24: Rowers, Nikhat Zareen and women's cricket team in focus
Asian Games 2023: India will begin their medal hunt as early as Sunday, September 24. Rowers and shooters are in with a good chance to bring medals while the women's cricket team will take on Bangladesh in the semi-final.

India will look to open their medal account as early Day 1 of the Asian Games on Sunday, September 24. Rowers and shooters will in action in major medal events while India's women's cricket team faces Bangladesh in the semi-final as the team looks to confirm a historic medal.Â
Team events in cricket, table tennis, football and volleyball got underway well before the Asian Games were declared open in a glittering opening ceremony on Saturday, September 23. Indian teams have managed to impress early in the tournament, putting themselves on the brisk of glory.Â
India women's cricket team will be in action in the semi-final against Bangladesh and a win will help them ensure a historic medal. Pakistan take on Sri Lanka in the other semi-final later on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Indian shooters Mehuli Ghosh, Ashi Chouksey and Ramita have an opportunity to win medals on Sunday, September 24 as they are in contention in the 10m Air Rifle Individual and Team final.
Indian rowers will in medal events in as many as 5 events with Olympian Arjun Lal Jat and Arvind Singh leading the campaign early on Sunday morning in Hangzhou.
Swimming and fencing can also produce medals for India.
All eyes will also be on India's boxing superstar Nikhat Zareen who faces a tough opening-round test on Sunday.Â
Meanwhile, India volleyball team will face powerhouse Japan in a crunch 1-6 classification match and the men's football team will be in action in their final group-stage match.Â
