CSK star Anshul Kamboj meets lookalike from CM Vijay's oath-taking ceremony
Anshul Kamboj finally met the police officer whose resemblance to him went viral at Vijay's oath-taking ceremony. Policeman Kamboj went viral on the day after his doppleganger was spotted next to Vijay at the event.
It's not always that you meet your lookalike, that too after he made you viral during Chief Minister Vijay's oath-taking ceremony. Anshul Kamboj was finally able to meet his doppleganger and the CSK star was all smiles meeting the police officer.
As the spotlight remained firmly on the swearing-in ceremony of Tamil Nadu’s new Chief Minister, CSK fans found themselves distracted by an unexpected lookalike in the crowd. Major Navanshu Raut (Aide-de-Camp to Governor, TN) stationed near the stage quickly went viral on social media because of his uncanny resemblance to Chennai Super Kings pacer Anshul Kamboj, leaving fans convinced they had spotted the fast bowler at the event.
The buzz around the “cop version” of Kamboj soon exploded online, and Ravichandran Ashwin added to the entertainment with one of his trademark humorous reactions aimed at his CSK teammate. CSK themselves joined the joke shortly after, playfully clarifying that the real Anshul Kamboj was busy with the squad at Chepauk ahead of their clash against LSG later in the day.
In the video, Kamboj first talked about his lookalike, admitting that there is a lot of resemblance between the two men. The CSK star said he would be able to judge him better if the hat wasn't there.
"Actually, almost everyone has sent me this meme on my Instagram as well, so I was like, I was, I'm just telling them, no, I'm not. Everyone is just asking me what are you doing there, what are you doing there? I don't know what. But actually he's looking a bit like me, not fully. Maybe when he removes his cap, then I will get to see more," said Kamboj.
CSK revealed that Kamboj was actually able to meet the officer and both men shared a laugh and had a chat with him during the practice session.

Kamboj has been one of CSK's most consistent players this season with the ball, helping them massively during the playoff race. The Haryana pacer has picked 19 wickets in 11 matches at an average of 19.21 and sits on third spot in the purple cap race.
CSK will face LSG in their next game on Friday, May 15.
