The final showdown - Despite this loss, South Africa Women maintain their series lead at 3-1. Both teams will now turn their focus to the final T20I, scheduled for 27th April 2026 at 12 pm GMT, where India will look to end the tour on a high.

Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur  - Kaur credits the victory to a collective team effort, expressing immense satisfaction with how every player contributed to the result. Kaur highlights the importance of the partnerships formed throughout the innings, noting that the team successfully executed the aggressive approach discussed in their pre-match meetings. Kaur specifically credits Deepti Sharma’s quality performance following their tactical discussions during training and, while acknowledging that the series is already lost.

Skipper of South Africa Women, Laura Wolvaardt - Laura says that if they had done well in the field, they would have had 10-20 runs less to chase. Adds that they try to get as many runs in the Powerplay. She says Sune batted well but this was not their game and ends by saying that they'll bounce back in the next game.

For her all-around performance of 36 runs with the bat and a fifer with the ball, Deepti Sharma is the POTM. Deepti says that she is very pleased with her performance and she keeps believing in herself. She credits her teammates, as they believed in her too. Adds that line and lengths are very important and she keeps on bowling on the right lengths. Deepti Sharma leads the bowling masterclass - Deepti Sharma was the star with the ball, returning brilliant figures of 5/19 to dismantle the South African middle order. Her tactical variations were supported well by the rest of the attack, with every bowler except Renuka Singh Thakur picking up a wicket. The collective effort ensured that South Africa never regained momentum, eventually sealing a comfortable win for the Women in Blue.

The spin choke reins in South Africa - Chasing 186 on a deck offering subtle assistance to the bowlers, South Africa started brightly in the Powerplay. However, the introduction of spin completely changed the complexion of the game. A cluster of wickets in the middle overs derailed the chase as India’s slow bowlers applied a relentless spin choke. The home side struggled to find the boundary, falling well short of the target as the required rate climbed beyond reach. 

Jemimah and late flourish propel India to 185 - The Indian batting unit clicked in unison to post 185 on the board. Jemimah Rodrigues led the charge with a composed 43, while Harmanpreet Kaur and Anushka Sharma provided quick starts with scores in the 20s. However, the real impetus came from Richa Ghosh and Deepti Sharma, whose unbeaten 30s in the death overs turned a competitive total into a daunting one. Eliz-Mari Marx and Kayla Reyneke were the picks of the bowlers for the hosts with two wickets apiece.

India secures a clinical victory - India Women displayed a complete performance to clinch the 4th T20I, outclassing South Africa by 14 runs. After setting a formidable target of 186, the visitors backed it up with a disciplined bowling effort to stifle the Proteas' chase. While South Africa still leads the series 3-1, this victory provides India with a massive confidence boost heading into the final fixture.
