India announce Asia Cup 2023 squad: Too many question marks remain

India's 17-man squad for the Asia Cup 2023 posed more questions than it answered. There aren't many surprises in Rohit Sharma's squad. The big news, of course, is the long-awaited return of KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer from injury, despite the fact that BCCI chief selector Agarkar confirmed that the former has picked up another niggle unrelated to his original injury.

Tilak Varma was also rewarded for his outstanding performances during the T20Is in the West Indies. Jasprit Bumrah and Prasidh Krishna, who made their international comebacks during the ongoing T20I series in Ireland, have also been named to the Asia Cup 2023 squad.
