World Cup 2023: England put more focus on Test cricket than ODIs? Fielding coach Carl Hopkinson responds

England's fielding coach Carl Hopkinson has dismissed claims that they had put more focus on Test cricket rather than ODIs after their dismal World Cup campaign. England were officially dumped out after their loss to Australia.
"No, absolutely not. The schedule is obviously very busy like it is for all international teams. I think we balance players playing Test cricket and playing ODI cricket to try and get the best performances that we can do. So, I don't think there's ever one that gets put in front of the other. But there is always a balancing act when you have Test series played so closely to ODI series. So, you just try and make the calls as best you can around selection and have the team there for that. I don't think that's the case now," said Hopkinson.

PM Modi also touched Sarkar's feet and presented a shawl to him as a mark of respect. In 1952, Sarkar was arrested in Kashmir while he was accompanying Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee as the latter was marching to hoist the tricolour there. BJP IT cell head Amit Malviya described the elderly party leader as "one of the earliest grassroots figures associated with the nationalist movement in post-Independence India."
