Bruno Fernandes' war cry to Manchester United team before Brentford win goes viral
Manchester United edged closer to Champions League qualification with a 2–1 win over Brentford, powered by Bruno Fernandes' assist and viral rally. Fernandes' leadership and 19th assist of the season has driven United's surge under Michael Carrick to the brink of a top-three finish.

Manchester United, on Monday, April 27, inched closer towards sealing their qualification for the next season’s Champions League after a 2-1 win against Brentford at the Old Trafford. However, it is captain Bruno Fernandes, who has been trending on the social media for an exhibit of his leadership qualities prior to the game.
The Portuguese played a pivotal role in his teams’ 2-1 victory over 'The Bees' after turning provider to Benjamin Sesko for United’s second of the game within the first half.
“This is our time,” Fernandes can be seen saying in a team huddle before the start of the game. “We don’t f**k about! We go again, again, again. This is our mentality from now on! We want to win every game, we do what is needed to win!”
Bruno, in fact after the second goal was even seen pushing Sesko to complete his signature celebration with the Manchester United supporters.
The assist further pushed his cause towards a historical record for the most number of assists in a season. Fernandes has provided 19 Premier League assists for Manchester United this season, just one shy of the competition's record which is jointly held by Thierry Henry (20 in 2002-03) and Kevin De Bruyne (20 in 2019-20).
Carrick knows the value of his midfield pair and the United interim boss.
"Bruno and Casemiro have a good relationship. We have scored nearly every game and Bruno is a big part of that. He could have maybe had one more assist and scored himself,” Carrick added.
IS CHAMPIONS LEAGUE QUALIFICATION A DONE DEAL?
When Carrick took over until the end of the season, United were languishing in sixth place, with a Champions League berth far from assured. But the former United midfielder has impressively steadied the ship following the turbulent reign of Ruben Amorim.
The win over Brentford puts Michael Carrick’s men in third, eleven points ahead of sixth-placed Brighton & Hove Albion with only two more points required to seal the third qualification spot from England for the UEFA Champions League next season. They next host rivals Liverpool on May 3 followed by a trip to the Stadium of Light to face Sunderland on May 9.
