Paralympics 2024 Day 3 Highlights: Rubina's bronze highlight on silent day

India's Parvin Kumar missed out on a medal by a long-mark after finishing 8th in the Men's Javelin Throw - F57 Final. Parvin's best throw of the night 42.12m. 

Nithya Sre goes into the quarter-finals of the Women's Singles SH6 after finishing second in her group. Nithya goes through despite losing her last group stage A match to China's Shuangbao Lin 0-2 (20-22, 18-21).

Para-shuttler Sivarajan Solaimalai crashes out of Paralympics after losing to Great Britain's Krysten Coombs 12-21, 10-21 in Men's Singles SH6 Group Stage A. 

India's para-javelin star Parveen Kumar is all set to be fighting for a medal at the Paralympics as his competes in the F-57 Final. 

Sarita crashes out of the Paralympics after losing to world champion Oznur by 145-140. 

Both Sarita and Oznur hit three bullseyes, and that marks the end of the fourth set in a draw. Oznur still ahead by 4 points over Sarita.

Finally a win!! The third set goes to Sarita by 29-28 draw, which also saw the India star hit her first 10 of the match which was followed by her last attempt getting converted from a 9-10. Oznur still ahead by four points.

It is not looking good for Sarita as the India star loses the second set too and by 27-20. The World Champion Oznur takes a five-point lead in 58-53 over Sarita, after hitting three straight Bullseye in the second set.

Sarita faces a tough start after losing the first set to Oznur by 28-26. The Indian star will be aiming to get more out of her. 
 

India's other para-archery star, Sarita is in quarter-final action against world champion Oznur Cure Girdi from Turkey.

India's para-archery young star Sheetal Devi faces a narrow defeat in the Women's Individual Compound Open 1/8 Elimination clash against Czechia's Mariana Zuniga by a total points tally of 138-137. Sheetal misses out on the quarter-finals by one-point.

IT IS ALL GOING DOWN TO THE WIRE!! The fourth set also ends in a draw between Sheetal Devi and Zuniga by 29-29.

The third end finishes in a tie between Sheetal Devi and Zuniga by 27-27. 

Sheetal Devi loses the second set by 27-26 to Zuniga after her second attempt went for a 7.

India's rising para-archery star Sheetal Devi is in action at the Paris Paralympics Women's Individual Compound Open 1/8 Elimination clash against Czechia's Mariana Zuniga. 

India's women's compound archer Sarita moves into the quarter-final of the Paris Paralympics. She beats Italy's Sarti 141-135 in the R16.

 India’s Rubina Francis wins bronze in women’s 10m air pistol SH1 with a score of 211.1.

This is massive from Rubina. Nerves of steel to make a late comeback and steal the second spot after 20 shots. Huge comeback after staying in the 3rd and 4th spot for so long.

Rubina is holding steady at the bronze medal position after her 18th shot.
