Hello and welcome to the live coverage of Day 3 at the French Open 2026

French Open Live: Jovic into second round

Iva Jovic has announced herself at Roland Garros in style, sweeping past Alexandra Eala 6-4, 6-2.

Eala dug in, pushed hard in the opening set, and briefly threatened to shift the momentum her way. But once Jovic weathered that early pressure, she simply raised her level and never looked back. The second set turned into a showcase of control and clean hitting, as the 18-year-old shut the door emphatically.

An hour and 40 minutes later, the result is decisive: Jovic through to the second round.

Next up, a far sterner test awaits in the form of Emma Navarro, and if Jovic brings this level again, that clash promises to be a blockbuster.

French Open Live: Sabalenka on the charge

Aryna Sabalenka takes the opening set 6-4 against Spain's Jessica Bouzas Maneiro, but it has been anything but smooth sailing on Centre Court.

The World No.1 has looked surprisingly patchy, dropping serve twice and showing visible rust in her timing and ball toss. Yet, in true Sabalenka fashion, she has still found a way through sheer power and persistence, breaking back three times to wrestle control of the set when it mattered most.

French Open Live: Medvedev storms back

Daniil Medvedev looked completely on the ropes after dropping the first set 2-6 to Australia's Adam Walton, but the former US Open champion has responded in trademark fashion.

A dominant 6-1 second set tells the full story: Medvedev has completely flipped the momentum, tightening his baseline game, raising his first-serve percentage, and dragging Walton into longer, more physically demanding rallies.

French Open Live: Jovic wins thrilling 1st set

What a rollercoaster on Court 14!

Iva Jovic looked in complete control at 5-1 up with a double break, cruising towards a routine set, but then the momentum flipped dramatically as Alexandra Eala unleashed a brilliant surge, clawing both breaks back to drag the set to 4-5 and suddenly putting real pressure on the teenager.

Just when a tiebreak seemed inevitable, Jovic showed maturity beyond her years, digging deep to land a crucial third break and close out a tense opening set 6-4 in 63 minutes.

But this is far from over. Eala has already proven she can break rhythm and fight back from the brink.

French Open Live: Sabalenka vs Bouzas Maneiro underway

World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka has begun her Roland Garros campaign on Centre Court against Spain's Jessica Bouzas Maneiro, but there is already plenty of pressure on the Belarusian superstar.

After surprising defeats to Hayley Baptiste and Sorana Cirstea in recent weeks, Sabalenka arrives in Paris desperate to rediscover her dominant rhythm on the biggest stage.

Sabalenka will be eager to send an early statement at Roland Garros and silence any doubts surrounding her form.

French Open Live: Medvedev loses 1st set

Daniil Medvedev has been completely rocked in the opening set as Adam Walton storms through 6-2 in just 33 minutes. The sixth seed looks rattled, out of rhythm, and under serious pressure after surrendering his serve twice in a nightmare start to his Roland Garros campaign.

Walton has come out fearless, attacking the Medvedev second serve and dictating rallies with confidence, while Medvedev's usually reliable baseline game has misfired badly. The big question now - can the former US Open champion regroup and show his trademark resilience?

French Open Live: Medvedev in action

All eyes shift to Court Suzanne Lenglen where Daniil Medvedev begins his Roland Garros campaign against Australia's Adam Walton. Fresh from a powerful run to the Italian Open semifinals, where only world No. 1 Jannik Sinner could stop him, Medvedev arrives in Paris with confidence and momentum.

Walton, though, has nothing to lose and could play the role of dangerous disruptor against the former US Open champion.

French Open Live: Jovic vs Eala friendship battle underway

Training partners in the build-up to Roland Garros, now rivals under the Paris spotlight. The stage is set on Court 18 as Alexandra Eala and Iva Jovic go head-to-head in a blockbuster showdown packed with promise and firepower.

Eala has already become the face of Philippine tennis, carrying the hopes of a nation every time she steps onto court.

But standing across the net is the fearless Jovic, an 18-year-old rising force who proved earlier this year at the Australian Open that she can thrive on the big stage. Expect intensity, fearless shot-making, and a battle between two young stars who know each other's games inside out.
