HP launches OmniPad 12 tablet, new EliteBook and ProBook laptops in India
HP has launched the OmniPad 12 tablet alongside more than 20 new AI-powered laptops and work devices in India. These devices include new EliteBook, ProBook and OmniBook series laptops.
HP made a big splash in India on Monday with the launch of more than 20 new products ranging from several new AI-powered PCs, workplace devices and its first new Android tablet — the OmniPad 12. The company also introduced new AI-based features such as HP IQ and HP NearSense for select devices.
HP OmniPad 12: Specifications, features and price in India
Of the devices that HP launched, the one that stands out immediately is the OmniPad 12, a tablet that features a 12-inch multi-touch display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 400 nits. Essentially, it could be a capable device for both work and media consumption. The tablet comes with a detachable keyboard, making it a versatile option for productivity on the go.
The HP OmniPad 12 runs on Android, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon SM6475Q processor, featuring a six-core CPU clocked at up to 2.40GHz, paired with a Qualcomm Adreno GPU, 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and 128GB of UFS internal storage.
On the camera front, the OmniPad 12 sports a 13MP rear camera, while an 8MP front-facing shooter handles selfies and video calls.
As for portability, the tablet itself weighs 600 grams, although the detachable keyboard adds another 650 grams to the total. So, as a work tool it would be fairly close to a slim laptop in terms of its weight.
On the battery front, HP claims the device can last up to 18 hours on a single charge.The OmniPad 12 is priced starting at Rs 48,999 in India and will be available from June through HP’s online store, Amazon, Reliance Retail and HP World stores.
HP expands EliteBook, ProBook and OmniBook AI PC lineup
Along with its tablet, the tech giant has also introduced several new AI-powered PCs and workplace devices in India, including the EliteBoard G1a keyboard PC, new EliteBook and ProBook business laptops, and OmniBook consumer laptops.
The HP EliteBoard G1a, with its keyboard form factor, is powered by AMD processors and supports up to 50 TOPS of NPU performance for AI tasks. It is priced starting at Rs. 89,900 and is available through HP’s online store.
HP also expanded its enterprise laptop portfolio with the EliteBook X G2, EliteBook 8 G2 and ProBook 4 G2 series. These laptops are powered by Intel, AMD and Qualcomm processors and offer up to 85 TOPS of AI performance, along with security features such as HP Wolf Security and HP Sure View.
The EliteBook X G2 series starts at Rs 2,50,000, while the EliteBook 8 G2 series starts at Rs 2,30,000.
The ProBook 4 G2 series is priced from Rs. 1,35,000. These models are available through the HP online store and HP Connect.
OmniBook series includes new consumer-focused AI laptops
The company also introduced new OmniBook consumer laptops, including the OmniBook Ultra 14, OmniBook X, OmniBook 5 and OmniBook 3.
The OmniBook Ultra 14 with Qualcomm Snapdragon processors starts at Rs 1,89,999 and is available in Stone Blue colour. The Intel-powered OmniBook Ultra 14 starts at Rs 2,14,999 and comes in Eclipse Gray and Silk Sand colours.
Meanwhile, the OmniBook X with Intel Ultra processors starts at Rs 1,69,999, while the OmniBook 5 starts at Rs 1,24,999. Both models will be available through HP’s online store and HP World stores.
HP says the new OmniBook laptops support AI-based features such as gesture controls and posture correction through the HP AI app.
HP introduces HP IQ and NearSense AI features
Apart from the devices, HP has also introduced a few AI features for computers. These are HP IQ and HP NearSense features for select computers. These features support device discovery, screen casting, document analysis and meeting note capture across supported HP devices. HP IQ will debut later this year on select AI PCs.
In addition to laptops, HP has announced the availability of several enterprise-oriented products in India, including the HP Z8 Fury G6i, HP ZGX Nano G1n AI station, HP Z4 G6i and HP ZBook X G2i 16 through commercial channel partners. The Poly G62 Video Conferencing Solution and Poly Mission Series headset will also be available through HP commercial resellers.
