Oppo has launched the Find X9 Ultra and Find X9s in India, expanding its premium smartphone line-up. The new models target buyers seeking either top-end camera hardware or flagship features at a lower entry price.

Oppo has expanded its premium smartphone lineup in India with the launch of the Oppo Find X9 Ultra and Oppo Find X9s. The new devices join the existing Find X9 and Find X9 Pro models that debuted in the country earlier this year. While the Find X9s targets users looking for flagship-grade features at a slightly lower price point, the Find X9 Ultra is aimed at buyers who want one of the most powerful Android phones currently available in the market. The spotlight naturally falls on the Find X9 Ultra, which arrives with high-end camera hardware, a flagship Snapdragon chipset, a massive battery, and a premium display. The smartphone also enters India as one of the most expensive slab-style Android phones available right now.
The Oppo Find X9s comes with a starting price of Rs 79,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, while the 512GB model is priced at Rs 89,999. The Oppo Find X9 Ultra, meanwhile, carries a price tag of Rs 1,69,999 in India. The sale of the new Oppo phones will take place on May 28. With select bank card offers, the price of the X9s will effectively drop to Rs 62,199. The Ultra will effectively cost Rs 1,36,999 with bank card offers.
Oppo Find X9s brings flagship-like features at a lower price
The Oppo Find X9s shares several similarities with the standard Find X9 model, including its flat-edge design language and square-shaped camera module. The phone features a 6.59-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500s chipset.
The device packs 12GB LPDDR5X RAM with up to 512GB UFS 4.1 storage. Oppo has also included a 7,025mAh battery with support for 80W SuperVOOC charging. However, unlike some rivals in this segment, the handset skips wireless charging support.
For photography, the Find X9s offers a triple 50-megapixel rear camera setup backed by Hasselblad tuning, alongside a 32-megapixel selfie camera. The device runs on ColorOS 16 based on Android 16.
The smartphone will be available in Midnight Grey, Sunset Orange, and Lavender Sky colour options.
On paper, the Find X9s appears to compete directly with the Vivo X300 FE. Oppo seems to have focused more on battery capacity and camera hardware, while Vivo continues to push compact form factor and wireless charging convenience.
Oppo Find X9 Ultra focuses heavily on cameras and premium hardware
The Oppo Find X9 Ultra is positioned as the company’s most advanced smartphone yet. It features a large 6.82-inch QHD+ LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, flexible panel design, 10-bit colour depth, and up to 1,800 nits peak brightness.
Powering the phone is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.1 storage. The handset also includes an Adreno 840 GPU for gaming and graphics-heavy workloads.
One of the biggest highlights of the phone is its camera system. The Find X9 Ultra comes with a quad rear camera setup led by a 200-megapixel primary sensor with OIS. It also includes a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 200-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 50-megapixel ultra-telephoto sensor. Oppo has also added a dedicated colour reproduction lens to improve colour accuracy.
The camera setup supports up to 10x optical zoom and 120x digital zoom. Video features include 8K recording at 30fps, 4K recording at up to 120fps, Dolby Vision video capture, Hasselblad imaging modes, XPAN mode, and professional-grade video tools. For selfies, the handset gets a 50-megapixel front camera.
The phone packs a 7,050mAh silicon-carbon battery with support for 100W wired SuperVOOC charging and 50W AirVOOC wireless charging. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS, USB Type-C, and satellite communication support on select variants. Oppo has also added a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor for security.
Despite carrying a large battery and premium camera hardware, the device measures around 8.65mm in thickness and weighs roughly 235 grams.
The Find X9 Ultra appears to be targeting buyers who prioritise camera performance, long battery life, and flagship-grade processing power in a single package. It also goes head-to-head with the Vivo X300 Ultra in the ultra-premium camera flagship segment.
