Vivo quietly hikes smartphone prices in India, check full list here
Vivo has reportedly increased the price of a bunch of smartphones, including the V70 Elite and its spin-off brand iQOO's 15R. This could set the tone for a premium price tag for the upcoming X300 Ultra, which will be the company's top-of-the-line flagship.

The memory shortage is real. Due to the rise in demand for RAM for AI data centres, smartphonemakers are reportedly forced to pay higher prices to acquire RAM for their devices. Vivo is seemingly the latest phonemaker in India to raise the prices of select smartphones as it is likely facing the impact of the memory shortage.
The Vivo India website now shows updated prices for certain smartphones, from the V70 series to the T5x and Y series models. It was first spotted by tipster Abhishek Yadav. India Today Tech has independently verified that the updated prices are reflected on Vivo India website. Also, we have reached out to Vivo for a comment on the price revision, and we will update the copy as soon as we hear back from them.
The increase ranges between Rs 1,000 to Rs 4,000 depending on the device. Vivo’s spin-off brand iQOO has also updated the prices of the iQOO 15R and iQOO Z11x in India.
What this means for Vivo X300 Ultra
This could indicate that the upcoming Vivo X300 Ultra, the company’s top-of-the-line flagship may come with a steep price tag. The X300 Ultra will bring the best of what Vivo has to offer.
The X300 Ultra is expected to launch in India soon. The device is aimed at users who want the best camera setup out there with flagship grade specs including Zeiss-branded cameras, and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The X300 Ultra is already available in China where it starts at 6,999 Yuan (roughly Rs. 96,000) for the 12GB/256GB option. But do note that phone prices vary depending on the market due to import duties, taxes and other factors.
Vivo has teased the X300 Ultra for India, with teasers showcasing a teleconverter kit as an optional accessory. The X300 Ultra is rumoured to launch in India on May 7, 2026.
Considering the market situation when it comes to memory prices, it is believed that the Vivo flagship may be priced on the premium end of the segment, potentially at a similar bracket such as the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra or the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, two phones that start at Rs 1,39,999.
