Xiaomi 17T series launching on May 28, coming soon to India
Xiaomi has confirmed the global launch of the Xiaomi 17T series on May 28. The lineup will include two smartphones — the Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro. However, speculation suggests that only one of the two devices may launch in India, while the other could skip the market altogether.

Xiaomi has officially announced the global launch of the Xiaomi 17T series. Ahead of the debut, the company has already started teasing the lineup in India to build anticipation around the upcoming smartphones. The lineup is expected to include two models — the Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro — both of which are scheduled to launch globally on May 28. However, Xiaomi has yet to confirm an official India launch date for the devices. The upcoming smartphones will succeed the Xiaomi 15T series that launched last year and are expected to sit in the company’s sub-flagship segment.
It also remains unclear whether Xiaomi plans to bring both models to India. According to tipster Ahsan, the Xiaomi 17T Pro may skip the Indian market altogether.
Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro specs and features
Going with the leaks, the Xiaomi 17T is rumoured to feature a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display, while the 17T Pro could arrive with a slightly larger 6.83-inch panel. Both displays are expected to support a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 3500 nits peak brightness.
Under the hood, the standard Xiaomi 17T may be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra chipset, whereas the 17T Pro is tipped to pack the more powerful Dimensity 9500 processor. Both smartphones are expected to come with up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and as much as 1TB UFS 4.1 storage.
On the camera front, both phones are expected to feature a triple rear camera setup with Leica-tuned lenses, including a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 50-megapixel 5x periscope telephoto lens with OIS. The Pro model, however, is said to use a larger OmniVision OV50Q sensor for the main camera. For selfies, both devices could feature a 32-megapixel front camera.
The smartphones are also expected to pack premium features such as an in-display fingerprint scanner, IP68 dust and water resistance, dual stereo speakers. On the software front, the devices may run on hyperOS 3 based on Android 16.
In terms of battery, the Xiaomi 17T is tipped to house a 6500mAh battery with 67W fast charging, while the 17T Pro may feature a massive 7000mAh battery with support for 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.
In terms of pricing, the Xiaomi 17T is rumoured to start at 749 Euros (roughly Rs 84,008) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB variant, while the 512GB model may cost 799 Euros (roughly Rs 89,616). Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 17T Pro could be priced at 999 Euros (roughly Rs 1,12,059) for the 512GB version and 1099 Euros (roughly Rs 1,23,277) for the top-end 1TB model.
