Divyanka Tripathi to Bharti Singh: 7 weight loss stories that inspired us in 2017

Fitness fever has gripped the TV industry and it's good to see so many celebs trying to go the healthy way. Here are seven TV celebs who inspired us with their weight loss stories this year.

1. Divyanka Tripathi: The Yeh Hai Mohabbatein actress' transformation is quite evident in her pictures. Divyanka is married to a fitness freak Vivek Dahiya, who must have been an inspiration for her to get fit. The actress had put on weight after her injury two years ago but regular exercise and healthy food habits helped her to get back in shape. The actress was part of Nach Baliye 8. Dancing further helped her to get on the right track, as it is a great form of exercise.

2. Hina Khan: Bigg Boss 11's Hina Khan had put on some extra weight post quitting Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. The actress shed about 7 kg before entering the Bigg Boss house. The actress  recently participated in Khatron Ke Khiladi 8 and was the first runner-up in the show. The actress is often seen working out with her friends Priyank Sharma and Luv Tyagi inside the Bigg Boss house.

3. Juhi Parmar: The Shani actress lost 14 kg after her pregnancy. The actress didn't go for a crash diet but  lost weight over a period of time. She hired a personal trailer for workout and also followed a proper diet. Apart from that Juhi did simple cardio exercises and basic weight lifting. She believes in eating right and not starving herself.

4. Bharti Singh: The laughter queen got married this year but before that she participated in the Nach Baliye 8. The comedienne lost around 10 kg due to the rigorous dancing for the show. Before her wedding, Bharti cut down on carb-laden food and drank only green tea. She even hit the gym and focussed on cardio exercise and cycling. After losing so much of weight, when Bharti went for the trail, she couldn't wear the lehenga as it was quite loose. Now, that's a commendable weight loss story.

5. Piyush Sahdev: The Beyhadh actor had suffered a knee injury due to which he had to sit at home for a couple of years. During the recovery period, Piyush gained weight and was almost 108 kg. But, the actor didn't lose hope and worked hard on himself. The actor lost 38 kg and currently weighs 70 kg. While talking to Times of India he said, "I put on a lot of weight while recuperating, but didn't opt for any quick-fix formula. Instead, I decided to lose weight without fat burners and get six-pack abs without steroids, which was tougher and took longer. I am glad I succeeded. I now weigh 70 kgs."

6. Kapil Sharma: The king of comedy might have had a bad year but nonetheless he worked very hard on his fitness to look lean in his second film Firangi. The comedian made a drastic change in his routine to achieve the required results. He woke up at 6am and cycled for an hour; followed by yoga, cardio and weight training. During that period Kapil stayed away from alcohol, junk food and sugar-based items.

7. Meherzan Mazda: Dhhai Kilo Prem actor Meherzan Mazda has undergone a huge transformation. The actor gained weight to portray the character of Piyush in Dhhai Kilo Prem, which revolved around the lives of two obese people who fall in love. The actor has lost eight kilos in a month and keeps sharing his pictures on Instagram.
