Kya Mast Hai Life to Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke: A look at Shaheer Sheikh's magnificent TV journey

Shaheer Sheikh, the current TV heartthrob has had a fascinating journey on small screen. Starting with youth-based shows in his twenties like Kya Mast Hai Life and Best of Luck Nikki, mythological shows Mahabharat and Jhansi Ki Rani to playing the quintessential lover boy in Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi and now Yeh Rishta Hain Pyaar Ke, here's a look at Shaheer Sheikh's Indian TV journey so far.

Shaheer Sheikh first came into notice with Disney Channel India's youth-based show Kya Mast Hai Life as Veer Mehra. Her character loves music and playing guitar and became popular among youngsters.

In Jhansi Ki Rani, Shaheer played Nana Sahib and impressed with his intensity and acting chops. From a lover boy to a freedom fighter, his transition on screen was seamless.

Shaheer Sheikh soon bagged the role in Navya..Naye Dhadkan Naye Sawaal opposite Saumya Seth where he played Anant Bajpai, a 19-year-old college boy who is urban at appearance but traditional at heart.

Shaheer's song Teri Palkey in A. M. Turaz's music album Ek Ladki Shabnami Jaisi added to his popularity.

Shaheer then went on to do another Disney show titled Best of Luck Nikki which was adapted from American show Good Luck Charlie. He was cast opposite Sheena Bajaj who played Nikki's sister Dolly.

Shaheer was also seen in telefilm Honeymoon which was part of Star Plus show Teri Meri Love Stories opposite Mahhi Vij.He played Nityanand Chaturvadi, an orphan who's in love with his manager's daughter Saloni.

Mahabharat proved to be the turning point for Shaheer Sheikh wherein he played the role of Arjuna. He received many awards and critical appreciation for his role.

After doing a series of Indonesian shows and films and making a big name there, Shaheer Sheikh made a return to Indian TV with Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi opposite Erica Fernandes. The show became extremely popular and the characters Dev and Sonakshi were shipped by many.

Shaheer who has been picky about his roles returned to historical genre with Dastaan-E-Mohabbat: Salim Anarkali wherein he was paired opposite Sonarika Bhadoria.

Shaheer Sheikh is back to romantic genre again with Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke opposite Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piyaji star Rhea Sharma. Their jodi is getting a lot of appreciation among the masses.
