Sasural Simar Ka to Aarambh: 5 times Indian TV got inspired by GOT

1. Sasural Simar Ka: Colors' popular show Sasural Simar Ka lifted the spooky Hall of Faces sequence from Game of Thrones for one of its promo. The makers were trolled and criticised for blatantly copying the show.

2. Prithvi Vallabh: Sony TV's upcoming magnum opus has lifted the opening music of Game of Thrones. The channel aired its first promo on Monday.  The music played during the entire trailer was a straight lift from Game of Thrones but a slower version. Even the war scenes and special effects to show the ships seems to be inspired by GOT.

3. Aarambh: In the recent episode, a dragon attacks Devsena and Shivgam. Devsena, who has supernatural powers turns the fire-spitting dragon into ice, which eventually  breaks into pieces. It would have been fun to see the dragon turn into ice dragon and spit blue flames instead of yellow.

4. Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat: Colors' popular historical drama Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat had a character named Prince Dastan whose look was inspired by Game of Thrones' deceased Khal Drogo. His hair, beard, costume and body language was completely copied from the Dothraki khalasar.

5. Nagarjuna: Life Ok's Nagarjun - Ek Yoddha used the throne similar to the Iron Throne in the iconic HBO show. Nikitin Dheer who played the role of Astika was seen using the throne and as he is a snake in the show, the throne has hundreds of snakes on it instead of swords.
