A government digital platform called the UMANG App (Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance) gives users access to a variety of public services via a single mobile application. As part of the Digital India program, it was introduced by the Indian government on November 23, 2017, with the goal of improving citizen access to and efficiency of governance.
The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) developed UMANG. Additionally, it is connected with other Digital India tools, such as DigiLocker and Aadhaar, enabling smooth document access and verification.
