A 21-year-old employee from Lucknow didn’t just resign from her job — she turned her resignation email into what the internet is now calling a full-blown corporate “diss track.”

Pratishtha Gupta has gone viral after sharing a brutally honest resignation letter in which she called out toxic work culture, low pay and the endless multitasking she allegedly handled at her company.

The young professional, who worked as a content marketing strategist at a Lucknow-based firm, posted screenshots of the email on Instagram, where social media users quickly began circulating it for its savage wording and painfully relatable corporate frustration.

Instead of the usual polite “thank you for the opportunity” format, Pratishtha’s email opened with pure chaos.

“I’m hitting you with this email to announce my departure officially. My last day is today, March 9th, 2026. Consider this my final log-out,” she wrote.

And then came the line that internet users immediately adopted as workplace poetry.

“To be Fr (for real), the math has stopped mathing, the vibes have rancidified, and the ROI on my sanity is in the negatives.”

The resignation letter went on to describe how she allegedly handled multiple responsibilities far beyond her official role while receiving modest compensation.

“I took a look at my daily tasks vs. my bank account and realized I’m out here playing a 5-man battle royale as a solo traveller,” she wrote.

Pratishtha then sarcastically listed the different “jobs” she claims she was unofficially doing within the company — from video editing and graphic design to SEO, WordPress management, analytics and content strategy.

“The Video Editor & Designer: Making sure the brand doesn’t look like a 2005 PowerPoint,” one line read.

She also described herself as an HR liaison “while secretly crying inside,” a phrase that particularly resonated with exhausted young professionals online.

The post quickly exploded across social media, where many users said the letter perfectly captured the burnout, underpayment and unrealistic expectations faced by Gen Z employees in modern workplaces.

Others joked that the resignation email sounded less like HR communication and more like “a LinkedIn post written after one final mental breakdown.”
