A delivery agent's quiet determination is melting hearts online after an X user shared how the young college student studying in Bhubaneswar spends his Sundays working to support both his education and his mother living in a village nearly 150 km away.
The story surfaced after X user Manas Muduli posted about meeting the student in his housing society. What began as a brief conversation soon turned into a deeply moving reminder of the struggles many young Indians silently carry every day.
“Saw this young delivery boy in our society this morning, carrying quick commerce deliveries,” Muduli wrote in his post.
During their interaction, the man learnt that the boy is a college student in Bhubaneswar who works part-time as a delivery partner to support himself and his family. Since Sundays are holidays from college, he spends the entire day making deliveries.
Muduli further revealed that the student lost his father a year ago. His father had worked in a small private company and reportedly left behind neither savings nor pension support for the family.
“But, this young boy chose responsibility over excuses,” the post read.
According to Muduli, the student now manages his education and daily expenses in Bhubaneswar through delivery work while also sending money back home to support his mother, who lives in a village around 150 km away.
