A bizarre late-night break-in attempt in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad took an unexpected turn after a minor trying to enter a clinic ended up needing to rescue himself. The incident, which happened in the Indirapuram area, has since drawn attention for its unusual circumstances and sparked conversations among locals.

The episode took place in the Abhay Khand locality, where the youth attempted to enter a cardiologist’s clinic through the rooftop, allegedly with the intent to steal. However, things quickly went wrong when he tried to squeeze through a narrow gap between the shutter and a concrete wall. In the process, his neck got stuck, leaving him suspended and unable to move either inside or outside.

Trapped and struggling for a considerable amount of time, the boy eventually began kicking the shutter repeatedly to attract attention. The noise alerted nearby clinic staff, who rushed to the spot and were stunned to find him wedged in such a precarious position.

Police were soon informed and reached the scene, but the complexity of the situation made it difficult to free him immediately. A team from the fire department’s Vaishali station was then called in. Around 1.15 am, firefighters arrived with specialised rescue tools and carefully dismantled parts of the shutter to release the boy without causing serious injury.

Following the rescue, he was taken into police custody and later sent to a government hospital for treatment.

While the youth was safely rescued, the incident has become a talking point in the area, with many noting the irony of the situation, a break-in attempt that ended with the accused trapped in his own plan.
