A Rs 6.5 crore apartment listing from Bengaluru has left the internet spiralling over one familiar question: who exactly is buying these homes?

The luxurious 3BHK flat on the city’s upscale Miller’s Road recently went viral after being posted on Reddit, where users reacted with everything from admiration to existential dread over Bengaluru’s rapidly escalating real estate prices.

The flat, located in Benson Town near Miller’s Road, reportedly spans around 2,850 square feet and comes fully furnished. The listing mentions three bedrooms, servant quarters, two parking spaces, a swimming pool and a children’s play area. The flat is situated on the sixth floor and features spacious interiors, large windows and premium fittings.

While the property itself impressed many users, the Rs 6.5 crore price tag became the real talking point online.

The discussion exploded on the Reddit community “BangaloreRealEstates”, where users openly debated whether luxury apartments in Bengaluru have become completely detached from what even high-earning professionals can realistically afford.

One user wrote, “Dream house. I’m earning 30 LPA but come from a lower middle class background. No matter how much I work, I’ll never be able to afford it.”

Another person admired the aesthetics of the apartment but questioned the logic behind spending such a massive amount on a flat instead of buying land or an independent house elsewhere.

Several users pointed out that Bengaluru’s real estate market increasingly feels designed for a tiny, ultra-rich segment while even well-paid tech professionals struggle to imagine owning homes in prime areas.

At the same time, a few people argued that the pricing was expected given the location and amenities. Some even claimed the flat would easily find buyers because of Bengaluru’s booming luxury housing market.

The comments section eventually turned into a larger conversation about urban housing anxiety, wealth disparity and the emotional disconnect many young professionals now feel toward the idea of home ownership.

For many online, the viral listing was not just about one expensive apartment, it was a snapshot of how surreal Bengaluru’s property market has started to feel.
