The conflict between Israel and Palestine is leading to an increased loss of innocent lives, including children. The continuous airstrikes by Israeli warplanes have reduced buildings to rubble, leaving behind only ruins and luggage in the old bridge refugee camp.
The ground report by Rami Almeghari shows the destruction of a specific house where reportedly dozens of people were killed. An eyewitness claims at least six people could still be trapped under the debris. Essential supplies such as food, fuel and medicine are in scarcity, pushing the people in Gaza to the brink. A notable occurrence was the airstrike against a refugee camp in the middle of the Gaza Strip which had rendered it uninhabited. After a week of airstrikes, the 365 square kilometre Gaza Strip now seems like a ghost town.

Eight other TVK leaders were sworn in besides him, as ministers in the new government. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also attended the ceremony. The TVK managed to secure the Governor's nod to form the government after the Congress, the CPI, the CPI(M), the VCK, and IUML extended their support to the Vijay-led party for a colaition government.
