Pakistan police and Imran Khan: The Tom & Jerry chase

After a day-long tense situation outside former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan's residence, the Lahore High Court has directed police to stop its operation at Zaman Park till 10 am on March 16, the Dawn reported.
Soon after the court's direction and withdrawal of personnel of law enforcement agencies, supporters of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) cheered and celebrated outside Imran Khan's residence. Punjab Rangers had joined the police personnel near Imran Khan's Zaman Park residence on Wednesday in a fresh attempt at arresting the former Pakistan Prime Minister.
Police and other security officials were seen leaving Zaman Park, prompting celebrations among Imran Khan's supporters, who cheered "chasing the Rangers away".

The scene unfolded on the stage ahead of Suvendu Adhikari's swearing-in as West Bengal's Chief Minister in Kolkata. PM Modi also touched Sarkar's feet and presented a shawl to him as a mark of respect. In 1952, Sarkar was arrested in Kashmir while he was accompanying Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee as the latter was marching to hoist the tricolour there. BJP IT cell head Amit Malviya described the elderly party leader as "one of the earliest grassroots figures associated with the nationalist movement in post-Independence India."
