Video: Family members of rescued Israeli hostage run to greet him at hospital

The Israeli military rescued a 52-year-old hostage from a tunnel in the southern Gaza Strip on Tuesday. The hostage, Qaid Farhan al-Qadi, worked as a guard at a packing factory in Kibbutz Magen before he was abducted by Hamas terrorists on October 7 last year.

A video shared by Israel's official X handle showed family members of Qaid Farhan Alkadi running to greet him at the hospital. He is said to be in good health.

The rescue operation was led by the IDF Southern Command, the Shin Bet security agency, and the IDF’s 162nd Division. Al-Qadi was found inside a tunnel by commandos of the Israeli Navy’s elite Shayetet 13 unit.
