Tamil Nadu Chief Minister N. Karunanidhi's daughter Kanimozhi hit the headlines when the Cntral Bureau of Investigation raided her relatives house and the premises of a NGO floated by one of her relatives in connection with the 2G scam. Kanimozhi's connection to tainted former Telecom Minister A. Raja also focussed the investigation on her. 

Michelle Obama
US first lady Michelle Obama is known for her dressing sense and her health conscious attitude. In 2009, she personally supervised the food arrangements when Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was the State Guest of the US President. While on her visit to India. the fist lady mingled with school children in Mumbai and danced with them.

Saina Nehwal
Ace shuttler Saina Nehwal kept the Indian tri-colour flying high with her impressive haul at the Super series events. She won the Singapore Super Series and the Indonesia Super Series in June and closed the year with a win at the Hong Kong Super Series. In Hong Kong she beat Guangzhou Asian Games gold medallist Shixian Wang of China. She also won the gold medal for India at the Commonwealth Games.

Sania Mirza surprised everyone by announcing theat she has briken her engagement with long time friend and fiance Sohrab Mirza. And then, she announced her marriage with Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik. Though the marriaged passed of peacefully, it was preceded by a lot of accusation, the most prominent of them being Hyderabadi girl Ayesha accusing Shoaib of marrying her and then dumping her. The incident even led to the seizure of Shoaib's passport by the Hyderabad police.

In these, she is allegedly lobbying for ministerial berths for candidates using mediamen as power players. She even also telecom firms during the 2G spectrum allocation. As the head of Vaishnavi Communications, a PR firm, she managed quite a fortune within a short span of time by virtue of her close contacts with ministers, corporates and mediamen. Her proximity to formwer Telecom minister A. Raja caught the CBI and the EDs attention.
