West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee fanned controversy after she refused to speak at an event organised to celebrate Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose's birth anniversary in Kolkata on Saturday. She said she has been "insulted" at the event organised by the central government.
Speaking in Hindi, the TMC chief said added, "Lekin kisi ko aamantrit kar ke beijjat karna aap logon ko shobha nahi deta. (It is unbecoming of you all to insult someone after inviting her to an event). In protest of this, I am not speaking anything more. Jai Hind. Jai Bangla." For more, watch the full video.
