Influencer Ashish Chanchalani has backed the teaser of Ramayana after a section of the audience criticised it online. Commenting on director Nitesh Tiwari, Ashish wrote, "Abbe yaar acha toh hai zabardasti ka kyun hate de rahe ho. Aane toh do movie ko (Come on, it actually looks good. Why are you forcing the hate? Just let the movie come out first (sic)."

Amid all the buzz about the Ramayana teaser, Om Raut's Adipurush is trending again. The reason? Fans flooding X with parody memes and comparisons between the two. 

Social media is filled with memes and parody content that juxtapose scenes from Adipurush with those expected from Ramayana, often highlighting perceived flaws in Adipurush's VFX, cinematography and performances.

A fan used AI to generate an image of Hrithik Roshan as Lord Rama 

Composer-singer A R Rahman has spoken about his collaboration with Hans Zimmer for Ramayana, while also reflecting on his respect for the values and ideas rooted in Hindu mysticism. He shared how Indian epics formed a key part of his upbringing, noting that the “heart of the epic lies in its moral core”.

In an interview with the BBC Asian Network, Rahman said, “I studied in a Brahmin school, and every year we had Ramayana and Mahabharata, so I know the story.” He added that, for him, the essence of the epic lies in its emphasis on virtue and higher ideals. “People may argue, but I value all those good things—anything positive you can learn from,” he said.

At the LA event of Ramayana, Ranbir Kapoor talked about the legacy of Lord Ram and how he has been a "conscience-keeper of billions of people around the globe for centuries."

During the LA launch, Ranbir recalled the time he said no to  Ramayana and said, "I remember when Namit offered me this part around 4 years ago, my instant reaction was 'No'. I'm not fit enough, not good enough, and I won't be able to do full justice."

The makers of Ramayana arranged a special screening of the first glimpse titled 'Rama' in Mumbai on Wednesday. Ranbir Kapoor and director Nitesh Tiwari met the media who were flown to Mumbai and interacted with them about the film. Telugu publicist duo Vamsi Shekhar shared some pics from the meeting and called the teaser "eye-pleasing" and "pure bliss".

Alia Bhatt, during a virtual interaction with fans, talked about her husband Ranbir Kapoor's Ramayana. She said, "Ramayana unit is going to be out tomorrow. It is called Rama unit. I am going to be posting it on my social media, so again, please go out there and support it."

Speaking about Ranbir's performance, she said, "It's absolutely fabulous. I think Ranbir has just done such a beautiful job and I just can't wait for you guys to see it. It's just out of this world."

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) cleared the first glimpse of Ramayana with a U certificate. The teaser titled 'Rama' has a runtime of two minutes and 38 seconds.

Actor Ranbir Kapoor, who essays Lord Rama in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, unveiled the first glimpse of his character in Los Angeles on Monday. Speaking to the audience and the media, he reflected on the significance of Lord Ram and his legacy as “Maryada Purushottam”.

The same glimpse is set to be released in India on April 2, coinciding with Hanuman Jayanti.
