Amid the political deadlock in Tamil Nadu, actor-turned-politician Vijay on Friday shared a seemingly simple message for students who appeared for their Class 12 public examinations, but parts of the note quickly drew attention for echoing the mood surrounding his own political battle to form the government.
Congratulating students who cleared the exams, Vijay wrote, "This victory is the recognition earned by your hard work (sic)," while encouraging them to move confidently towards higher education. But it was his message to those who did not succeed that stood out amid the current political climate.
"At the same time, those who couldn't achieve success this time should not lose heart. Try again. Remember that we are right on the verge of victory (sic)," he wrote, before ending the post with the lines: "Good things will happen! Success is certain (sic)!"
The tweet comes as his Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) continues negotiations and political outreach after emerging as the single largest party in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections with 108 seats. The party, however, remains short of the 118-seat majority mark required to form the government independently.
