Watch: Thousands take out anti-war protests in Moscow, St. Petersburg, several detained

As Russian troops continue to mount attacks on Ukraine, thousands of people in Moscow and St. Petersburg hit the streets raising anti-war protests. Over 1,700 protesters were detained across several cities in Russia.

Russian forces, which invaded Ukraine on Thursday despite several sanctions by the West and other nations, are approaching Ukraine's capital, Kyiv from northeast and east. Meanwhile, Ukraine President Zelensky said that invading troops are targeting civilians and explosions can be heard in the besieged capital.
