Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani thanked the people of Gujarat for showing faith in Modi and his policies and rejecting caste politics of Congress.
"I would like to give credit for this victory to the people of Gujarat and would assurance that in the coming 5 years BJP will work towards what the people of the state want," said Rupani.
Vijay Rupani, who was initially trailing for some time, finally secured a comfortable win from Rajkot West seat with a margin of over 25,000 votes.
Congress candidate Indranil Rajyguru, who was leading at one point of time by 6,234, failed to spring a much anticipated surprise.
