Hyundai sales rise 17% in April 2026, continues to trail behind Mahindra
Hyundai Motor India Limited posted a 17 per cent rise in domestic sales to 51,902 units in April 2026, though it remained behind Mahindra in domestic volumes during the month.

Hyundai Motor India Limited reported domestic sales of 51,902 units in April 2026, registering a 17 per cent year-on-year increase.
The company also exported 13,708 units during the month, taking its total sales volume to 65,610 units in April 2026.
Among Hyundai’s models, the Hyundai Venue emerged as a key contributor, recording domestic sales of 12,420 units during the month. The strong performance comes alongside the recent Bharat NCAP 5-star safety rating for the Venue and Venue N Line.
Hyundai attributed the growth to the positive market response for recently introduced products and editions, including the Hyundai Exter, Hyundai Verna, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Hyundai Creta Summer Edition, Grand i10 Nios Vibe Edition and Venue Knight Edition.
Hyundai continued to trail Mahindra, whose Utility Vehicle (UV) portfolio remained the key growth driver in April. Mahindra recorded domestic SUV sales of 56,331 units, up 8 per cent year-on-year, while total UV sales, including exports, stood at 57,833 units.
