The man, who hails from Uttar Pradesh, allegedly poisoned his wife and their four children. The family was found lying unconscious on the first floor by his brother when he returned home on Saturday evening.

In a horrific case from Delhi-NCR, a man allegedly murdered his wife and their four minor children before attempting suicide in Gurugram on Saturday. The accused has been identified as Nazim, a native of Uttar Pradesh who runs a hair salon.
According to the police, he allegedly poisoned his wife and children before slitting his wrists. Nazim and the bodies of his wife, Najma (35), and the couple's four children, aged between 6 and 14 years, were recovered from the family's residence.
The family was found lying unconscious on the first floor by the man's brother when he returned home on Saturday evening. He rushed everyone to the hospital, where doctors declared Najma and the four children dead, police said. Nazim, on the other hand, survived the suicide attempt and is currently undergoing treatment.
While the exact motive behind his actions was not immediately clear, the police have said that Nazim told investigators that his family did not wish to live. A broken mobile phone has been recovered from the scene of the incident.
"We have collected evidence from the scene and are investigating the case thoroughly," ACP Naveen Sharma said. The official also said that the case is being investigated from all possible angles.
Nazim and Najma had a love marriage seven years ago.
