BJP is brilliant at politics: Shashi Tharoor on Rahul Gandhi's UK remarks

Speaking at the India Today Conclave 2023, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor said that the BJP is brilliant at politics. A row erupted after Rahul Gandhi in London said the structures of Indian democracy are under “brutal attack” and mics of Opposition leaders are being silenced.

"He has got nothing to apologise for. BJP, I must say, is brilliant at politics. One of the things that they have done is thave blamed him for something he has never said and has managed to stick to that. At no point, he called foreign countries to intervene in our democracy. There is not one sentence," Tharoor said. 

I see nothing there to apologise for, the Congress MP said.

Rahul Gandhi, during a recent visit to the UK, said that the structures of Indian democracy were under "brutal attack" and there was a full-scale assault on the country's institutions. The BJP has stepped up the heat on Rahul Gandhi and has demanded an apology from him.
