Ground report: Covid-19 healthcare system grim in Mumbai, Pune

Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Tuesday announced strict lockdown-like restrictions over the next 15 days starting from April 14 in order to contain the spread of the second wave of coronavirus, saying there has been a "shortage of medical oxygen and hospital beds".

Maharashtra continued to be the worst-affected state as the state's healthcare infrastructure remained grim amid a rise in Covid-19 cases.

Video: Vijay swears in as Tamil Nadu CM amid roars, chants of frenzied crowd

TVK leader C Joseph Vijay on Sunday took oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu amid a sea of supporters, his friends and family, and several political leaders.
