TVK has hatred: Dhinakaran claims Vijay's party shared AI video to claim support
TTV Dhinakaran has accused Vijay's TVK of using a forged letter and an AI-generated video to show support from AMMK MLA Kamaraj S.

A fresh political controversy erupted in Tamil Nadu on Saturday after Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK) General Secretary TTV Dhinakaran accused actor-politician Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) of using a “forged” support letter and an allegedly AI-generated video to claim the backing of AMMK MLA Kamaraj S.
Addressing a press conference, Dhinakaran launched a sharp attack on TVK and questioned the authenticity of the visuals released by Vijay’s party. “TVK has arrogance and hatred,” he said, adding that he was “shocked” to see television reports claiming that the AMMK MLA had extended support to Vijay.
Dhinakaran repeatedly questioned who recorded the video purportedly showing MLA Kamaraj signing the support letter. “Who took that video of the AMMK MLA? Vijay or Bussy or Sengo or Venkatraman or CTR Nirmal Kumar? Where did you take that video?” he asked.
He alleged that the video released by TVK was fake and AI-generated. Dhinakaran also claimed that the support letter submitted by TVK was not the original document signed by the MLA.
“If it is true, let him (TVK chief Vijay) surrender the video and the original letter to the Governor. Giving a forged letter, what is this!” Dhinakaran told ANI.
The AMMK chief further questioned why Vijay did not personally take MLA Kamaraj to meet Governor Rajendra Arlekar if the legislator had genuinely extended support to TVK.
“If the MLA had extended support to TVK, why didn’t Vijay take the MLA to the Governor?” he asked, accusing TVK of trying to “create confusion” within the NDA-AIADMK alliance.
Dhinakaran alleged that TVK believed it could later pressure the MLA into formally backing the party after first submitting the letter. “They thought it was a single MLA. After giving the letter, they could threaten him and get his support,” he claimed.
In a pointed remark that carried both warning and sarcasm, Dhinakaran said, “It is the destiny of Tamil Nadu that if they (TVK) come to power, the state will face a lot of problems.”
He also said that he had already lodged complaints with both the Governor and the police over the matter.
The controversy began after Dhinakaran rushed to Lok Bhavan on Friday and submitted a letter to the Governor seeking to “correct the record” after a letter claiming AMMK’s support for TVK went viral.
TVK, however, strongly rejected the allegation that the support letter was forged. The party released a video showing AMMK MLA Kamaraj allegedly writing the letter and extending support to Vijay’s party.
“These are the visuals of AMMK MLA Kamaraj voluntarily and happily writing a letter expressing his support for the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam. He had stated that he was extending support to the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam with the approval of AMMK General Secretary TTV Dhinakaran,” TVK said in a statement.
TVK also accused Dhinakaran of spreading misinformation while hiding facts related to the issue.
The political tug-of-war comes as TVK races to secure enough support to cross the majority mark of 118 seats in the 234-member Tamil Nadu Assembly. Vijay’s party won 108 seats in the election and has already received support from the Congress, which won five seats, and the CPI and CPI(M), which secured two seats each.
The scramble for numbers has now turned into a battle over signatures, videos and, according to Dhinakaran, even artificial intelligence, making Tamil Nadu’s post-poll politics look increasingly like a political thriller with a tech subplot.
