Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief Vijay has submitted a revised election affidavit for the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, disclosing two pending FIRs that were not mentioned in his initial filing. The updated affidavit was filed on April 4, correcting the earlier declaration made on March 30, which stated no criminal cases were pending against him.

Vijay, who is contesting from the Perambur and Tiruchirapalli East constituencies, had filed his nomination for Perambur on March 30 and for Trichy East on April 2. The fresh affidavit reveals two active FIRs, one from Chennai and another from Madurai.

The first FIR, numbered 74 of 2026, was registered at thePeravallur Police Station in Chennai. It relates to an alleged public disturbance and violation of election norms during a campaign event in Perambur on March 30. Vijay mentioned in the affidavit that he became aware of this case only through social media on April 2.

The second FIR, number 108 of 2025, was filed at the Koodakovil Police Station in Madurai district. It concerns an incident during a party conference on August 21, 2025, where a complainant alleged being pushed and injured by bouncers while attempting to approach Vijay during a ramp walk. Vijay noted that he has not yet received any formal summons regarding this matter.

While the criminal case disclosures were updated, the financial declarations in the revised affidavit remain largely unchanged. Vijay's movable assets have increased slightly, now valued at approximately Rs 410.59 crore, up from Rs 404.58 crore previously. This includes 883 grams of gold jewellery worth around Rs 1.20 crore and silver articles valued at Rs 15 lakh.

The total value of Vijay's immovable assets stands at Rs 220.15 crore. These include commercial and residential properties located in Neelankarai and Saligramam.

For the financial year 2024-2025, Vijay declared a total income of Rs 184.53 crore. The affidavit also lists pending income tax demands amounting to Rs 3.44 crore across several assessment years, all of which are currently under appeal.

The revised affidavit provides a comprehensive update on Vijay’s legal and financial status ahead of the Tamil Nadu assembly elections scheduled for April 23, 2026.
