Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has been asked by the Congress high command to step down and been offered a national role and a Rajya Sabha seat, according to sources.
Kerala Congress vice president KC Rosakutty resigned from the party on Monday. Former MLA from Sulthan Bathery constituency and chairperson of the Kerala Women's Commission, Rosakutty was reportedly unhappy with the present developments in the party.
Rosakutty's resignation comes a few days after Kerala Congress's women wing president Lathika Subhash resigned and shaved off her head at the KPCC headquarters in protest after being denied a ticket for the upcoming state assembly elections.
