TMC asks EC to remove Suvendu Adhikari's name from Nandigram electoral list

The Trinamool Congress (TMC) has written a letter to the Election Commission (EC) demanding that the name of BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari be removed from the Nandigram electoral list.

TMC claimed that Suvendu Adhikari has not resided in Nandigram for last six months. The party also asked the EC to initiate criminal proceeding against Suvendu Adhikari for furnishing false particulars.

Suvendu Adhikari, who quit TMC to join the BJP, is contesting the Bengal assembly elections from Nandigram. He is up aginst Mamata Banerjee who is also contesting from Nandigram.
