Gullak Season 5: Anant V Joshi replaces Vaibhav Raj Gupta as Annu Mishra
Gullak is returning to SonyLIV for its fifth season with Anant V Joshi joining as Anand 'Annu' Mishra. The casting marks a new phase for Annu while bringing the Mishra family back on screen.
Gullak is set to return for its fifth season on SonyLIV, with actor Anant V Joshi joining the cast as Anand ‘Annu’ Mishra. The new season brings a familiar character back to the Mishra household with a new actor in the role. Joshi is replacing Vaibhab Raj Gupta, who played the character for four seasons.
Produced by The Viral Fever (TVF), Gullak 5 will also see the return of Jameel Khan, Geetanjali Kulkarni, Harsh Mayar and Sunita Rajwar. The makers said the new season will continue Annu’s journey while exploring a more mature and evolving phase of his life.
Speaking about joining the series, Anant V Joshi said, “Gullak has always felt very close to my heart because the Mishras remind me so much of our own families, their warmth, little moments, conversations, and the simplicity with which they touch people’s lives. I’ve been a fan of this world for a long time, so becoming a part of it now feels truly special.”
He added, “Stepping into Annu Bhaiya’s journey has been an exciting experience for me, especially because this season explores a more mature and evolving side of his life. With the doors of Mishra Nivas opening once again, Gullak 5 brings back the core cast while introducing Anant V Joshi as Annu for the new season on SonyLIV.
