Major landslide in Himachal's Kinnaur, rescue ops underway | In Pics

At least 40 people are feared trapped after a major landslide struck a bus in Himachal Pradesh's Kinnaur on Wednesday.

The Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) bus was carrying over 30 passengers and got buried under the debris along with other vehicles.

At least 10 people have died and 14 have been rescued from the debris.

A few vehicles are feared to have skidded off the road and fallen into the Sutlej River flowing below.

The bus was on its way from Reckong Peo in Kinnaur to Haridwar.

Rescue operations are underway to rescue others trapped in the debris. 300 ITBP personnel are at the spot.

The place where the incident took place is Nugslsari, 163 km from state headquarters in Shimla. The incident took place at 11:56 am.
