Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin loses Kolathur seat to TVK's VS Babu

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has lost his traditional Kolathur constituency to TVK candidate VS Babu, marking a setback for the DMK. Early trends indicated Thalapathy Vijay's TVK is emerging as the single largest party, leading in 108 seats, while the DMK trails with 72 seats and the AIADMK with 55. Vijay is maintaining comfortable leads in both the Perambur and Trichy constituencies. Several prominent DMK ministers are also trailing or have lost their seats, including Geeta Jeevan, who lost to TVK's Sriram in Thoothukudi. With the majority mark in the Tamil Nadu assembly set at 118, TVK remains slightly short of a clear majority.
