15 dead in Pune wall collapse, Fadnavis announces Rs 5 lakh ex-gratia for victims kin

At least 15 people were killed on Saturday after a 60-ft-wall wall of a residential complex collapsed near talab masjid in Pune's Kondhwa area. The wall collapsed on shanties following incessant rains in Pune, police said on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh each to the next of the kin of the deceased.

Video: Vijay takes oath as Tamil Nadu CM amid loud cheers and chants

TVK leader C Joseph Vijay on Sunday took oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu amid a sea of supporters, his friends and family, and several political leaders. Eight other TVK leaders were sworn in besides him, as ministers in the new government. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also attended the ceremony.
